The Bill (Reg. No.2005) excludes the effective regulation, pursuant to which, Prosecutor General of Ukraine is to coordinate the candidacies for the post of prosecutor of Crimean Autonomous Republic with The Verkhovna Rada of Crimean Autonomous Republic. The Bill aims at enhancement of mechanism of prosecutor´s supervision over observance of Ukrainian legislation in Crimean Autonomous Republic by way of eliminating pressure of the local self-government bodies on the chief prosecution officers of the Autonomous Republic.
However, implementation of the Bill is possible, only in case relevant amendments are introduced to the Constitution of Crimean Autonomous Republic.
The Committee members resolved to reject the Bill, and forwarded a relevant resolution to the profile committee.
